COURSES
The Striking Workshop by R3 Tactical LLC, is a single-day immersive experience that teaches participants–regardless of experience-how to increase overall fitness, core strength, rotational speed and power by incorporating striking drills into workouts. Strikes are some of the most functional movements because punching and kicking with true power, speed and accuracy require people to utilize their entire body. This is why fighters are some of the most well-conditioned and powerful athletes in the world. With this in mind, The Striking Workshop is designed to teach participants to incorporate basic mixed-martial-arts, boxing and self-protection striking concepts into workouts. The course also teaches attendees to program these skills into workouts for greater variance. All this is done in a non-contact format that focuses on proper technique by using shadow boxing, focus mitts, kick shields and a heavy bag.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The Striking Workshop teaches participants to:
1. Achieve a fighter’s fitness level.
2. Add variety to workouts and training sessions.
3. Throw proper strikes and combinations.
4. Understand the role of the kinetic chain and the posterior chain in supporting athletic
performance and fighting.
5. Increase the speed and power of strikes, regardless of experience.
6. Learn proper striking bio-mechanics.
7. Know the 3 Striking Foundational Skills.
8. Safely run a training session involving striking skills and drills.
9. Learn an essential self-protection skill.
10. Effectively use shadow boxing, focus mitts and a heavy bag.

This workshop is designed to acquaint law enforcement personnel and tactical operators with the Peak Performance and Recovery Training skill-sets that are utilized in high performance arenas such as professional sports and elite military units. Through both lecture and hands-on training, attendees will learn how to achieve peak performance in the field and how to optimize their recovery from the rigors that are unique to their profession.
In a lecture-based format, participants will be taught how to:
Improve their sleep, nutrition and hydration
Mitigate the effects of stress through physical and mental practices
Enhance decision making
Improve emotional control and management
Boost resilience
Integrate proper recovery techniques into their daily routines
Implement functional movement training within a first responder environment
In a hands-on format, participants will be taught how to: Develop the high levels of sustainable power and endurance that are applicable to any mission, sport and/or physically active profession. Utilize the proper technique for engaging in foundational movement exercises with pull-up bars, kettlebells, focus mitts, and a heavy bag apply core-to-extremity development of power within the context of a first responder/operator environment (taking into account that participants may have minimal time, space and/or equipment for their training). The objective of the Peak Performance and Recovery Training for the Tactical Operator Workshop is to address the unique needs of law enforcement and tactical operators by providing participants with the knowledge and skills sets that will allow them to develop:
